Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know Solidity to mint on RAPIT?
No. RAPIT generates audited smart contracts from your settings — you never write code. The contracts are standard ERC-721 and ERC-1155 implementations, so collectors and marketplaces treat your collection like any other on-chain work.
How much does it cost to launch a collection?
RAPIT takes 0% on primary sales. You pay network gas to deploy the contract — typically a few dollars on L2 networks like Polygon or Base, more on Ethereum mainnet. There are no hidden platform fees, no per-mint cuts, and no monthly subscription.
Who owns the contract and the art after I mint?
You do. The contract is deployed to your wallet address and you are the owner on-chain. RAPIT does not custody your contract or your funds. If you ever stop using the platform, your collection continues to exist independently — assets are pinned to IPFS and the contract lives on the blockchain.
How are royalties enforced on secondary sales?
RAPIT's adaptive royalty layer lets you set per-marketplace rules and update them without redeploying your contract. Where a marketplace honours creator royalties (Rarible, OpenSea on most listings, your own RAPIT collection page), you receive them automatically on every secondary sale. For royalty-optional venues like Blur, you can adjust rates, block listings, or accept partial enforcement based on your strategy.
Can I list on OpenSea, Rarible, and Blur from RAPIT?
Yes. Collections minted on RAPIT are automatically discoverable on the major marketplaces because they use standard contract interfaces. RAPIT also provides direct listing integration so you can push collections to OpenSea and Rarible from the dashboard. Blur indexes RAPIT collections automatically based on contract activity.
When do I get paid, and in what currency?
Payouts are instant. Funds settle directly to your wallet on every primary sale and every royalty event from secondary sales — there is no platform escrow, no holding period, and no batch payout schedule. You can be paid in ETH, MATIC, USDC, or other supported tokens. Most Canadian creators off-ramp to CAD through a regulated exchange like Newton, Bitbuy, or Coinbase Canada.
What file types and collection sizes are supported?
Static images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP), video (MP4, WEBM), audio, and 3D files (GLB, GLTF) are all supported. Generative collections can upload layered art and let RAPIT compose the outputs. Collections range from 1/1 pieces to drops of 10,000+ tokens. Open editions and edition-of-N drops are both supported.
How do NFT sales work for Canadian taxes?
We are not accountants and this is not tax advice — please talk to a Canadian accountant who understands crypto. In general, the CRA treats NFT income as either business income or capital gains depending on activity level. RAPIT helps by exporting a complete CSV of primary sales, secondary royalties, and gas costs with CAD-equivalent values at the time of each transaction, which is what your accountant or tax software needs to file properly.
